OK not really. Well, yes, really… OK let me explain.
I am going to BlogHer. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a ticket to the conference. Like many, many other bloggers out there, I will be lobby chilling and networking my booty off (and let me tell ya, my booty could use the work!)
The whole thing was so totally sudden and last minute that I’m still swooning from it all!
I will be attending in Chicago through the wonderful people at MothersClick.
For those of you who don’t know, I recently accepted a community manager position with MothersClick and so as part of my position, they’ve asked me to accompany them and help them rock BlogHer and put my mad networking skillz to work and get the buzz out about MothersClick. (Which reminds me, have you visited me at MothersClick yet?)
As you know, I’m all about moms working together and making awesome connections. It’s a daggone hard job we do and it’s because of sites like MothersClick that we are still sane at the end of the day. So sanity saving aside… how could I say no??
Because I’m going to miss out on the conference itself, it’s going to be SUPER DUPER IMPORTANT that I find all of my bloggy friends and pass out some hugs and love to everyone who’s been reading, commenting and even tweeting with me over the last year. (Oh Yea! I’m talking to you!)
I’ll be tweeting, blogging and maybe even a little vlogging about my trip, the people I’m meeting (could be you?) and the exciting projects I’ll be working on this year.
That’s right, as if I’m not already busy enough, I’ll be working with a major media company very soon. I can’t tell you right now, but if you introduce yourself to me at BlogHer and say, “So, what are these big plans you speak of?” I might just have to tell you!
In between the networking, blogging, talking, tweeting, laughing, giggling, dancing, and everything in between, I’ll also be at some amazing parties!
Want a lowdown of where I will be? Here’s my calendar so far!
Thursday night:
I’m going to kick off BlogHer at the only place to be and that’s The People’s Party 
Then I’ll be heading over to Room 704 to party with those fabulous ladies!
On Friday I’ll be hanging with some good friends (and that’s not just lip service! I love Amy, Shannan and Kelby more than they can ever know) at the Type-A Momfluence party!
On Saturday… well I can’t speak for everyone else but I’ll be at BowlHer (I’ll dance, but I won’t bowl!) And between you and me and the whole wide interwebs, the BowlHer party is going to be amazing. Truly. Honestly.
I’ll also be attending some private events as well on Friday so be sure to look out for those tweets and updates!
Right now I’m officially in freak out mode. I’m busy trying to wrap up loose ends here at home, pack, not kill the children, thank God every day for getting the chance to leave the children, do laundry (apprently these people want clean clothes while I’m gone), meet some deadlines, rob piggy banks for drinking money and in general make sure the house is still standing when I come back.
Anyway, I’ll be posting some updates as I get my head wrapped around all of this. I’m looking forward to meeting EVERYONE, so make sure to leave me a comment. I don’t care who you are!! I want to see you!
Oh and since this is my first time to BlogHer (conference not included), if I’ve forgotten anything, a party, a person to meet or if you’re a PR person and you think we could do great things together, please let me know. Remember I said I was swooning? Yea, well that means I forget stuff and sheesh! I don’t want to do that!!
