Wow, I'm in awe. Not of the escape, necessarily (though cows as devious as that are a bit awe-inducing), but of the idea of having a real farm. We moved from a city to a suburb 10 minutes away last year and all I do is complain about ALL THE GRASS and ALL THE QUIET. But you, you really have your work cut out for you.

Love the blog.

I am sooooo cracking up over here!!! We had a cow that my parents eventually gave to a neighboring farmer, and when I saw neighboring, I mean 3 miles away. This cow would escape any fence, then walk 3 miles to hop into this neighbor's fence and spend time with his cows. No joke. She was doing this so often that it was no longer worth it to go find her, tie a rope around her neck and lead her home via the tractor.

I think cows are just herd animals and like company. And, once they find they can get out, there's no stopping them.

I bet your Amish neighbors ARE having a good laugh!!! hehe

Well, once I can safely leave home again without fear of the Sheriff showing up and asking "Do these 2 belong to you?" We will definitely get together.
