The Guilty Parent School Of Bad Parenting: Lesson No. 157
13 Jan
Mom to precocious 3 yr old son: “What do you want for breakfast?”
3yr old: “I want. Ummm… M&M’s” (Big toothy smile).
Mom: “No. You are not having M&M’s for breakfast. How about french toast?”
3yr old: “I don’t like french toast. How about M&M’s?” (Still smiling).
Mom: “Since when do you not like french toast? How about Cheerios? Cheerios are good.”
3yr old: “I don’t like Cheerios. I like M&M’s.”
Repeat conversation for 10 more minutes…
Mom (wearing down from chinese-torture like negotiations): “What else would you like BESIDES M&M’s?”
3yr old (realizing he has won and smiling even bigger than before): “Orange juice. Orange juice would taste good in my belly with M&M’s.”

I think you could put m&m’s into oatmeal, the colors would swirl & look fun until it all turned brown which would be SOOoo yummy.
Hey, it says on the back of the M&Ms package that they’re manufactured in a plant that may also process peanuts. There’s got be some protein osmosis going on there. So, no worries. Protein.
