If I sit down he is immediately next to on me. As I’m typing this a toy Optimus Prime is walking all over my right arm, shoulder, and head. Two minutes ago I was being smothered; I guess I should stop complaining, eh?
Working is next to impossible. I usually have feet in my lap, or a multitude of toys surrounding me with at least one small appendage somehow ON me. When my husband comes home from work, he sometimes senses my need for air, and takes the perpetrator outdoors. I swear, the moment the door closes my lungs fill with air, my muscles shout for joy at the thought of relaxing for a moment, and I feel like someone has pulled me from a riptide and literally saved my life.
It’s exhausting.
Yes, I know someday I will miss this. I’ll long for hugs every day and I’ll wish I could hold him. But, right now I feel like I’m gasping for air…

How do you get your child to play by himself every so often? Is there a secret to regaining some personal space and room to breath?
Oh How I feel your pain!! I have the same issue with my 2.5 yr old Curlylocks. My last child was not like this –she played by herself and 7yrs later she still does!! it must be inate –clingy babies , not clingy babies!! any good ideas let me know!
